Britain Can (Still) Make It Exhibition

Will be on show at Libertys of London from now until 27th September 2009, as part of London Design Festival. The event has been inspired by the 1964 show, 'Britain Can Make It' then hosted by the V&A to demonstrate advances in the British design industry in the postWW2 period.

There are some great British design names to see, from John Smedley and Ercol, to Lloyd Loom and 'People Will Always Need Plates'. For those with a textile bent, there are also designs from Timorous Beasties and St. Jude's.
The photo's show the relaunched BA3 chair design by Ernest Race, upholstered with an Angie Lewin print for St Jude's.
