Chalky Furlongs

'Furlongs', watercolour by Eric Ravillious (1934).
Delicious, chalky South Downs hues. Furlongs was the Sussex home to artist, Peggy Angus , more of her later...

Beautiful. Ravillious is one of my favourite artists. I live in hope that one day I might find an intact copy of the 'High Street' in a secondhand bookshop at a price I can afford! One can but dream!
