A Wet Sunday

On the Devon/Somerset border, uncovering pattern & lettering....

Is that post box in Porlock? I love Blue Anchor, we're holidaying there in August. Its nice to see those old pressed metal road signs; I've noticed that the council have preserved those old finger boards instead of ripping them out and replacing them with those modern nondescript road signs. Did you go on the steam railway too?

Hi! The post box was in Dunster. Unfortunately it was so misty and wet that I didn't get a good look at Blue Anchor (brilliant road sign!). Yes, those finger posts were everywhere - really great to see them.
No, to the steam railway too i'm afraid - so wet that day everything was shut (unbelievable in June!)and North Devon was doing a good impression of being closed! Where's the British spirit of carry on regardless eh? Pah!
